Bitcoin tipping via Lightning Network just went live on X. BitBit and Spark are powering this new integration: self-custodial, Lightning-based, and browser-native. If you get a tip but don't have a wallet you will have to spin one up using BitBit. If you don’t claim the tip within 21 days, it returns to sender. That’s actually smart. What’s not smart is pretending X is still the home of Bitcoin discussion. It's not. Nostr is. But the tech behind this tipping rollout is solid. It leverages the parts of Lightning that work best and skips the tired “base layer everything” maximalism.

Bo Hines, former White House crypto lead, just joined them to push into the U.S. market. That’s a big move. Tether’s always been the offshore king. Now they want to bring their own domestic dollar-backed stablecoin to American soil. They’ve already invested billions in U.S. infrastructure and LatAM agriculture, yes, agriculture. Tether’s deep into Latin American food systems. That might sound odd, but when you understand that many Bitcoiners care about food sovereignty, it starts to make sense. Tether co-founder Ardoino gets bitcoin and always has.

Wyoming, meanwhile, launched its own stablecoin (FRNT) on seven chains: Solana, Avalanche, Ethereum, Polygon, the whole pack. It’s 2% over-collateralized and issued by the state itself. That should be the story. But here’s what bugs me: the governor of Wyoming is also chairman of the Wyoming Stable Token Commission. That’s a conflict. I don’t care how clean it looks on paper, a sitting governor should not also direct the state’s token issuance. I just don't trust this development.

Then there’s the Google/TerraWulf deal. No, Google didn’t invest in Bitcoin. They’re providing a backstop on a 10-year lease with FluidStack for AI compute. In return, they get warrants to become TerraWulf’s largest shareholder. The catch? This has nothing to do with Bitcoin mining. TerraWulf is shifting toward AI hosting, and their Bitcoin mining isn't planned to expand in the short to medium term. That’s just chasing enterprise revenue while keeping the “we help the grid” narrative for marketing. I'd like to see TerraWulf shut down AI/HPC machines to "balance the grid" and not catch an earful from the midstream AI guys. You can do that with Bitcoin mining but you can't do it with these services.

Finally, KindlyMD completed its merger with Nakamoto Holdings and bought $679 million in BTC at $118K average. They actually bought the corn. Meanwhile, Amsterdam-based Amdax says they want to buy 1% of total Bitcoin supply and list the company on Euronext. I’ll believe it when I see it. But KindlyMD? They did it. They said they would, and they did.
