AI is sucking liquidity out of everything, banks are trying to build their own blockchain rails, and miners may have accidentally become 'Power Landlords' for the AI boom. But the big lesson of the day is Zcash: privacy sounds great until nobody can prove whether the money supply is real.

Bitcoin news and financial news update. Today I cover Michael Saylor’s “capital rotation” read on the bitcoin price drop, Anthony Pompliano staying bullish on institutional adoption, major banks building a shared tokenized deposit network, Zcash’s Orchard bug, and the growing overlap between AI, bitcoin miners, and power markets. This episode also touches on bitcoin investing, bitcoin technology, and the broader economics of bitcoin.Topics for today: Bitcoin and ether ETF outflow streaks end Michael Saylor calls the bitcoin drop a capital rotation into AI Anthony Pompliano says bitcoin adoption is still moving into traditional finance JPMorgan, Bank of America, and Citi plan a shared tokenized deposit network ZEC falls after a patched Zcash Orchard vulnerability Zcash developers consider a new shielded pool Anthropic says AI is already helping build AI Bitcoin miners become power landlords for the AI boom [Circle P sponsor block] Today’s Articles covering bitcoin news, financial news, and bitcoin technology: https://www.theblock.co/post/403805/bitcoin-ether-etfs-end-13-and-17-day-outflow-streaks-as-traders-rotate-into-equity-perps-ahead-of-nfp-analysts https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/michael-saylor-calls-bitcoins-drop https://bitcoinmagazine.com/news/bitcoin-as-pompliano-stays-bullish https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/06/05/jpmorgan-bank-of-america-and-citi-are-going-on-the-blockchain-offensive-with-a-shared-tokenized-networkhttps://cointelegraph.com/news/zec-tanks-30-after-ai-security-review-discovers-critical-zcash-vulnerability https://cointelegraph.com/news/zcash-new-shielded-pool-orchard-counterfeiting-bug https://decrypt.co/370089/ai-already-developing-ai-anthropic-humans-slowing-things-down https://decrypt.co/370047/bitcoin-miners-power-landlords-ai-boom-revenue-surge-bernstein Get Your Free Comfrey Owner’s Manual Here:https://www.bitcoinandshow.com/the-comfrey-owners-manual-is-here/Help a Brother Out With 5 Star Reviews:Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bitcoin-and-bitcoin-economic-news/id1438789088Spotify Podcasts: https://open.spotify.com/show/1dsTluNHIPNsXVRghpqxhYAmazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/podcasts/9ef7d5b6-9137-439d-94eb-8071ec6bf890/bitcoin-and-bitcoin-economic-newsYouTube Music: https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLWaKxaQF5Q5WiTq80SBYs_7iLDtleV0rZFind the Bitcoin And Podcast on every podcast app here:https://episodes.fm/1438789088Find me on nostrnpub1vwymuey3u7mf860ndrkw3r7dz30s0srg6tqmhtjzg7umtm6rn5eq2qzugd (npub)6389be6491e7b693e9f368ece88fcd145f07c068d2c1bbae4247b9b5ef439d32 (Hex)Twitter:https://twitter.com/DavidB84567StackerNews:stacker.news/NunyaBidnessPodcasting 2.0:fountain.fm/show/eK5XaSb3UaLRavU3lYrIApple Podcasts:tinyurl.com/unm35bjh Mastodon:https://noauthority.social/@NunyaBidnessSupport Bitcoin And . . . on Patreon: patreon.com/BitcoinAndPodcastFind Lightning Network Channel partners here:https://t.me/+bj-7w_ePsANlOGEx (Nodestrich)https://t.me/plebnet (Plebnet)Music by:Flutey Funk Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 Licensecreativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Zcash just gave Bitcoiners one of those grim little moments where you don’t want to say “we told you so,” but you also kind of have to say it because, well, we told you so. A critical counterfeiting vulnerability was found in Zcash’s Orchard shielded pool. Bugs happen. The scary part is that because of how Zcash is built, nobody can cryptographically prove whether someone used it before the patch.

That has always been the tradeoff. Bitcoin’s blockchain is public. Painfully public. Every transaction is out there. You can mix, you can coinjoin, you can try to create distance between wallets, but the chain itself is open for everybody to inspect. That is irritating for privacy, no question. But the upside is enormous: anyone can audit the supply. You can know how many bitcoin exist. You can verify it yourself. You do not have to trust a foundation, a lab, a committee, or a very smart guy on X telling you everything is "probably" fine.

Zcash went the other direction. It promised privacy by making things opaque. And now the exact thing Bitcoin maximalists have warned about for years is sitting right in the middle of the room: if somebody found a way to print Zcash inside the shielded pool, how would you know? That is the design tradeoff we said was going to cause more problems than it solves.

Now, maybe nobody exploited it. Maybe the bug was so subtle that only a highly skilled review using cutting-edge AI tooling could uncover it. Maybe the emergency hard fork fixed the immediate problem and everyone can move on. But “maybe” is not monetary assurance. “Probably fine” is not a supply audit. And “we’re discussing a new shielded pool with turnstile accounting” does not exactly make holders sleep like babies. The problem is more psychological than technical.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin is down hard, and everybody is hunting for the one villain. Michael Saylor sold 32 bitcoin, and the market treated it like Moses smashed the tablets. In dollar terms, that sale is basically a rounding error against Strategy’s position. Capital is rotating into artificial intelligence at historic scale. Everyone is staring at AI, Iran, liquidity, oil, equities, and the general fog of war. Nobody really knows what comes next, so everything not nailed down is getting sold.

The strange twist: Bitcoin miners may end up becoming some of the most valuable landlords in the AI boom. These companies spent years chasing cheap, reliable power for mining. Now AI needs exactly that: massive powered sites ready for compute. The miners were mocked, squeezed, and written off, and suddenly the thing they built might be exactly what the hyperscalers need. That does not mean every miner wins. It does mean the Bitcoin world keeps creating infrastructure other industries later discover they need. Next it will be the stranded energy infrastructure that has been and continues to be built out for bitcoin mining.

So yes, the market looks ugly. Bitcoin is down. Gold and silver are down. Equities are getting smacked. Oil is weird. Nobody knows what Iran means tomorrow, nobody knows where AI goes next, and the media looks like it has developed a full-body informational fatigue. But maybe that is the point. Maybe this is the part where the fluff burns off. The fake certainty, the clever altcoin narratives, the “trust us bro” monetary experiments, the idea that opacity is the same thing as strength.

Bitcoin is public, auditable, boring in the right places, but always brutally honest. The ride may be uncomfortable but the money IS verifiable.
